I spend a lot of time collecting reference images. Screenshots, browser images, things copied from other apps — the usual stuff. And the workflow is always a bit annoying:
- copy an image
- open an image editor
- paste
- save
- close
Clipboard Image Saver does exactly one thing: it takes an image from the clipboard and saves it to disk. You choose the folder, optionally type a name (or don’t — it’ll auto-generate one), pick PNG or JPG, and save. That’s it.

The UI is purely functional — as usual. But this time I actually made an icon. I count that as progress.
This isn’t meant to be a big app or a clever solution. It’s just a tiny tool that removes a small but constant annoyance from my daily workflow. And honestly, that’s all I wanted it to do.
Feel free to check it out here.
